Roofrack Types
When it comes to choosing the roof rack system for your vehicle, TRUKRAX offer six main choices of van racks:
The main decision you face is whether the individual roof bars provided in a Roof Bar Kit are enough to support the load you are carrying or if you need a more substantial roof rack. The questions you have to ask yourself are what do you intend to carry? What lengths will the items be? How often will the rack be in use? Load weights? Dimensions overall?
If you need advice, please contact us; we are here to help. You can use our product filter to show items that match your needs or click on the vehicles to the left to browse by Van Model.
Whatever type of van racks you choose, you'll be making the right choice.
Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturers recommended loading capacity.
Van Roof Bars & Van Roof-Racks Kits
Individual, heavy duty steel roof bars, sold on their own or as part of a Roof Bar Kit. Generally, if your vehicle has fixing points, it can have as many bars as there are fixing points. If your vehicle has a gutter rail, you can have as many bars as you like.
Each Roof Bar Kit comes with two pairs of Ladder Locators and all the fixings required for your vehicle. An optional Rear Roller is also available for most vehicles, for easy loading, unloading and to protect the rear of your vehicle during loading.
The TRUKRAX best-seller, every Roof Rack & Roller comprises a set of heavy duty steel roof bars and a ladder guide framework with 64mm (2.5") sides, providing strength and support.
Ideal for carrying 8' x 4' sheets, the Roof Rack & Roller also includes fixings for your vehicle and a Rear Roller for easy loading, unloading and to protect the rear of your vehicle during loading.
The more compact of our platform racks, the Low Sided Platform Rack is essentially the same as the Roof Rack and Roller with it's roof bars, ladder guide framework and Rear Roller.
In addition to this, the Low Sided Platform Rack also includes intermediate cross bars, spaced at approximately 300mm to create the platform and for further strength.
Like it's Low Sided counterpart, the Platform Rack features roof bars, ladder guide framework, intermediate cross bars, Rear Roller and fixings for your vehicle.
Where the Platform Rack differs is in the height of the ladder guide framework. The full 150mm (6") sides provide added strength and support.
As it's name implies, the Luggage Rack is ideal for carrying suitcases, bags and other goods that require the protection of an all-round enclosure.
The Luggage Rack consists of a Platform Rack with roof bars, full-sided ladder guide framework, intermediate cross bars and fixing for your vehicles. However, the Luggage Rack loses the Rear Roller in favour of front and rear enclosure panels for maximum load retention.
Available as a single or dual-sided loading system, the innovative TRUKRAX Side Loader is the ultimate in racking systems for the Health & Safety conscious employer or tradesperson.
The Side Loader is sold as an Accessory and will fit any TRUKRAX 2 Bar Kit. For more information on the Side Loading System, please view the Health & Safety page.
Side Loader System does not include ladders, beacon or any other items on the roof load pictured.
